i gave my son cereal (1 1/2 scoop cereal + 1 scoop formula) in the morning for about a week til he got the hang of eating off the spoon then started on stage one foods. start with veggies like sweet potatoes they usually like them the best. go from yellow/orange to green. do those for about a month intoducing a new one every 3-4 days to make sure they are not allergic to anything. then do fruit bc if they get used to sweet fruit they wont want to eat the bitter veggies. once he has mastered all the stage one foods start him on the mixed stage 2. if they dont like a food at first still try it again down the road bc their taste will change. my son wont eat reg. peas only sweet peas so if i cant find the sweet peas i sometimes put a touch of sugar into the peas. my son is now almost 6 months and he eats cereal with fruit in it for breakfest with a 4oz bottle, an 8oz bottle for lunch and then for dinner has a dinner food jar, then half fruit jar and 4 oz bottle. then he is done for the night, he wont get hungry til breakfast. i hope this helps!

Well how old is she now? If she is 6 months or older I would say that it's fine to move on to baby foods. When our son started eating solids at 6 months I started with fresh steamed veggies rather than using jarred foods. I enjoy cooking and I find homemade foods to be much healthier. It's important when offering new foods that you try one for several days before moving onto the next. You should talk to your doctor about starting solids, as there are suggested guidelines to follow. Try homemaking your baby’s foods, its fun and very rewarding :)

You can give her baby food at 4 months if she is interested. I always liked to wait until they were 6 months. I think it gives there bodies that little bit longer to develop a good immunity and there tummies to mature. My babies always loved mashed mango, banana, sweet potato, or avacado so much more than babyfood. It has more taste! Maybe give them a try. You can buy little mesh pockets now. You can put a piece of rockmelon (or anything else juicy), and they can suck out the juice and enjoy the flavour without actually eating it. If you put frozen fruit in it can help relieve teething pain too!

Hi,I have 5 children and I started them on Rice cereal with stage 1 pears or apples and they loved it,Make it runny maybe add some formula or Breastmilk to water it down.My kids were all 1 month old when I started this, and the other types I just tried as they got older.
