when trying to potty train my son he got really really bad diaper rash. dont use cornstarch it make the rash breed more. i didnt realize that there's baby powder n baby powder w/ cornstarch. as for regular diaper creams the desitin w/ zinc works good. then the dr had us try a little cortisone under the desitin. but my son got so bad he got a combinaion from the pharmacy w antifungal meds in it. we came to find out he was allergic to oranges. anyways if it mild i would try an oatmeal bath to help calm it (avveno makes an oatmeal bath soap) then let it dry completely n put on the cream. remember the diaper rash cream doesnt heal its a barrier to prevent it from getting irritated. so try n figure out the cause of it. teething? allergy to something? sick? good luck

I got a baby shower gift of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. I thought it was a joke, but it really is a fantastic diaper rash cream. I tried Desitin, Johnson & Johnson and still found that this one worked best. I hear that grown-ups use it for other maladies as well, like dry cracked lips, although I've always stuck to it as diaper rash cream. Check it out at:

Good luck!

Aloe Vera Gel from the health food store in the dark brown glass bottle. Pour that stuff on, rash will be gone in no time.

make sure that your child is not allergic to nicle, cause if they are diaper rash cream which is zinc will only make problem 10 times worse, and it is a very common allergy.....i use baby powder every change to prevent one in the first place, air .....rashes are caused by moist skin so keep her /him dry, and put a blanket on floor and let them go bare to the world
