Baby waking with gas

My four month old baby has recently started waking every morning at 4am with painful gas (or I assume it is painful as she becomes quite grizzly and occasionally cries). I want to ease her pain, but the only way I know how is to unwrap her and do bicycle movements with her legs, which then often results in my day starting at 4am because it wakes her up completely. Any advice on a painfree way to help her? She usually wakes a couple of times a night for a feed but will fall straight to sleep after wards, and 4am is not usually a feed time.

My daughter is the same (she 11 weeks). I found the only thing that helped was after her early morning feed (around 2) was to put her on her tummy while she slept. She sleeps in a bassinett beside our bed, and we have the bassinett tilted too. It seems the little bit of extra pressure on her tummy helps. During the day she's a good winder, but at night, she's a bit lazy :)
