My daughter is 16 months old. She only has one sleep in the afternoon for as little as half hour and sometimes up to 2 hours. Me question is every time we put her to bed whether it is in the afternoon or for her bedtime at night all she does is scream. Its almost like she is throwing a tantrum. We have extended her wake hours to try and stop it thinking it was because she wasn't really tired but that hasn't helped either. Help!!! How do you think i can help stop this?

Your daughter is having terror attacks, My son used to have them when he was 2, There is nothing that you can do about it, That's just something that goes away on it's own, My son used to scream, holler and throw a major fit whenever he laid down to take a nap or go to bed, My mom had to come over my house and calm him down because it can be very frustrating and last a long time, The next time it happens just try to rock her and comfort her and it will stop, I can't tell you how long it will last because I don't remember with my son but you can go online and google up terror attacks and ways to deal with them, I hope this helps :)

Go in the room and sit with her. Tell her it's time to go to bed. I had the same problem with both of mine but I co-sleep with them now because of this exact reason. Go to
