It depends on the storage method. You can refrigerate breast milk for three to five days and freeze it to keep it fresh even longer. If you have the single door to the freezer and the refrigerator, the frozen breast milk can be stay fresh for two weeks in a refrigerator.

You need to keep in mind that research has suggested that if you store the breast milk for a longer time there will be a loss of vitamin c.

I had come across how to store breast milk, hope this might help regarding the storage and use of breast milk.

It can be frozen for several months (exactly how long depends on the type of freezer). It can be in a refrigerator for 24 hours. It can be room temp for 10 hours. Happy pumping and congrats on taking on this commitment to provide your baby with great food!

I was advised to keep it for no longer than 24 hours, although you could freeze any excess in ice cube tray and use it for mixing with baby food when weaning.
