can you get pregnant after having your tubes cut and tied?

I had a c-sec and my tubes cut then tied. I bled for a month after and then stopped for about 3 days then started again for about a week and a half. It has now been almost 6 weeks and I've not started. I'm only 24, single, and 2 children. I do not want anymore!

My doctor actually told me that having your tubes tied during a c-section is risky because you have more chance of the tubes repairing themselves. Something to do with the pregnancy hormones still in your system. He actually advised me to wait at least 6 months. In the end, we opted for hubby to have a vasectomy.

So yes, you can still get pregnant. However, it could also still be your body adjusting after the birth of your baby. Are you breastfeeding? You may not have actually started ovulating yet if you are.

i have not had my tubes tied but my mother did after she had my sister (in her mid 20's). she had 2 tubal pregnancies when i was in high school. i also know a girl (early 20s) who is now pregnant after having her tubes tied after her second child. someone told me that it's not that effective if you have it done in your 20s. i don't know why but you should see the dr.
