Child 5 yrs. old- what's a good bedtime

My child whom is 5, has to be at school no later than 7:35am. My child is not a morning person regardless of how many hours of sleep she gets. Last year in Pre-k I tried to have her in bed by 9:00 or 9:30, she was always hard to wake up in the morning just as she is now going to bed at 8:00 and she is asleep by 8:15-8:30. She does very well in school and doesn't misbehave. But I feel like I'm putting her to sleep way to early even though she is completely asleep by 8:30. I don't get off work until 5:00 and by the time we all get home it's 6:00, which only leaves two hours for some outside play, supper, bathtub, reading a book in then bed. Can anyone offer any advise. I just feel so rushed and I don't feel like we are able to spend good family time within 2 hours... Anyone have the same problem?

My 5 yr old and 4 yr old go to bed at 6.30. My son (5) is usually asleep within a few minutes and my daughter within 10-15 mins.

They wake up between 6 and 6:30 some times nearer to 7am.

We have 3 1/2 hrs after school together

Bedtime depends on how much sleep a particular child needs. When my older kids were 5... their bedtime was 6:30 because they had to be up at 6:30am and still needed about 12 hours of sleep. My 5 year old now goes to bed at 7:30 and is asleep by 8-8:30.

2 hours/day isn't a LOT of time, but it's much better to have a well rested child... and spend extra time together on weekends and holidays.
