Child only wanting lotions, cream, etc.

I need some insight... my 20 month old daughter will literally scream and throw fits for lotions, deodorants, perfumes, literally everything you shouldn't consume. I phoned the doctor and they think it's a "phase" but as daycare is approaching I'm quite nervous for her and the daycare provider. She is also refusing to eat "real" food now. I'm a loss of what I should be doing to correct this. :( any help would be appreciated. Is it just a phase??

Yep, just a phase. All toddlers go through this to some degree. They don't like being told no.
You need to stay consistent and not give in. In regards to the food, keep offering her food and if she doesn't eat it, don't make a big deal of it. She won't starve herself so will eat it when she's hungry. Leave food out for her to eat when she wants.
Daycare could be good for her. When she sees other children eating properly and doing what they are told she will probably follow them.
Just remember that this age is a battle of wills and you need to be the parent and not let her think that tantrums will get her what she wants.

Just a phase. She doesn't like "no". Just keep telling her no, change her attention towards something else, and ignore it. I really wouldn't worry about daycare. Just give them a heads up.

Keep offering her good healthy food, and put all lotions, deodorant, and whatever else she wants to eat out of site. Make sure cleaners are not under sinks, or baby proofed.
