Colloidal Silver Use in Children

Manufacturers of colloidal silver claim that it has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years and that it will fight infection and be a "cure-all" for medical conditions. The U.S, Food and Drug Association warns against it's use and indicates that colloidal silver is considered to be generally unsafe and not recommended for use in children.
Identification
Colloidal silver is a mixture of small microscopic particles of silver that are suspended in liquid. The National Center of Complementary and Alternative Medicine confirms that silver has been used for medicinal purpose in the past, but has since been replaced by safer medicines. Alternative medical treatments still promote colloidal silver as a healing agent. There have been no medical studies to prove using colloidal silver for your child is safe or effective.
Uses
Brent A. Bauer, M.D., an internist at the Mayo Clinic, indicates that manufacturers of colloidal silver claims it boosts your immune system, fights off bacteria and viruses, treats cancer and HIV/AIDS and prevents shingles, herpes and many other illnesses. Bauer reminds the public that there is no medical evidence to back up any of these claims.
Colloidal silver can be taken as a dietary supplement, applied to your skin or injected into your body.
Warnings
The USDA has not approved use of colloidal silver in humans and has warned manufacturers against making false claims. They do not believe colloidal is safe to use and do not believe it is able to treat medical conditions.
Colloidal silver has not been tested for safety in children less than 18 years of age.
Side Effects
One of the most common side effects from taking colloidal silver is a medical condition called argyria. Argyria turns your skin a bluish-gray color and is a non-reversible medical condition, according to Bauer. Bauer indicates that other irreversible side effects of using colloidal silver in children can include seizures and neurological problems, kidney damage and skin irritation.
Using colloidal silver may also cause digestive upset, headaches and fatigue. It can also interfere with the absorption of other medications such as penicillamine, quinolones, thyroxine and tetracyclines.
Doses
The National Center of Complementary and Alternative Medicine states that no safe dosage of colloidal silver has been established for children. They advise you to speak to your medical practitioner if you are considering giving your child colloidal silver.

My son had a fever of 104 for 2 days, I was up all two nights with him going between Motrin and Tylenol since his fever was coming back every 3 - 4 hours. He was so weak...The next day I went out and bought Colloidal Silver. I gave it to him and no kidding, a half hour later, his fever was totally gone and did not come back again. Since then, for a whole year, my kids have not gotten sick. The first sign of sickness I give them 2 drops per pound weight and the next day they are fine! I am a believer! I only use it as need it... Good luck!!
PS: Doctors are great for some things, I do say that, but you also have to know that they will treat your symptoms with medicine and sometimes multiple different ones until something works! I went through 3 years of desperation going to multiple doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with me...I was sent home with medicine for fibromyalgia, Interstitial Cystites, hormone replacement, anxiety medicine (ALL THINGS I DIDNT HAVE!!) to later find out, my issue was that I was gluten intolerant (which i found out on my own!) ALL MY SYMPTOMS WENT AWAY.....
so listen to your body!! ;)

I have been using Colloidal Silver with my Children for Years and that is how I know that the Claims above are full of B.S and most likely posted by the Haters of Mother Nature (FDA)!..They Lie...Cheat...Plant Fear and Miss inform all in order to keep the Ground Fertile for their Toxic Man Made Chemicals which they Call Pharmaceuticals!...However I am wise enough to know that the devil has always been a liar!...Smh!...

Some medicines, you can just pick and use. Plantain is grown in the yard and even in the woods, you can take it and smash it a put it on a cut and it will help heal.
As much of herbal and homeopathic medicines, I've used and even reviewed or studied upon, all of the medications are made with herbal medicines..some do however have water in them . Some do not. I know what the differences is. To me if you don't take it...how do you know what it even does or even is. If these medicines aren't goood , like colidal silver...It wouldn't be on the shelves to buy.
stifler..you can take fenugreek and thyme with slippery elm for the sinuses and congestion..mucus. Slippery elm helps break the mucus up and fenugreek helps it to come out. I use this too and it works.
Herbs and homeopathic medicines are useful and are safer than other medicines doctors gives you. They have more of a chance to heal and has fewer side effects, some no at all. Homeopathic has no side effects at all and are safe for infants to elderly. Some herbs can have side effects if allergic to them. I haven't had no side effects on anything I have taken. The medicines doctors gives has far more complications than anything. As for the cancer thing. There are alot of medicines that cancer can be killed. Esiac tea is one of them and guess what....colidal silver is one of the ingredients in Esiac tea. You can go online and read up on it.
My uncle had cancer and went to the doctors and all and got worse, it was spreading. He went on Esiac tea and it was curing him. He went back to the doctors and the doctors were stunned of what they saw, the cancer was getting smaller. My neffew was a baby and on herbs and was being treated for cancer and it was taking it away and today...no cancer. Garlic is an herb, a food, it treats cancer...it's an anitbiotic.. Colidal silver is a type of antibiotic. Host defencee mushroom will kill various of bacteria and viruses like staph infections and it works. I use so much of herbs and homeopathic. My children are barely sick. They haven't gone to a hospital for being sick. I thank God for that.

Left face it when it comes down to colloidal silver not too many people are aware of the 3 types of Colloidal Silver.
Chemically laced Colloidal silver, or Ionic Silver can trigger Argyria (only if you are genetically inclined) to turn blue.
While its true that Silver Nitrates can trigger a condition sub named as Argyria, the real name of this disease is: methemoglobinemia it is a gray blue skin condition that is extremely rare with only two or three legitimate cases that "may" have been caused by silver nitrates in one hundred years out of multimillions of colloidal silver users. But the fact is that this condition is genetically inherited and there is a family in Kentucky that had been blue for decades so reported ABC news and they are the Fugates of Kentucky and they do NOT use Colloidal silver.
As I said before there are 3 kinds of colloidal silver 1. Nanoparticle Silver which has to be made with chemicals because nanoparticles are too heavy to float by themselves in the solution, so chemicals are used to thicken the solution, 2. Ionic Silver made with what they call “Silver Protein” which in reality is not protein at all, but phosphates, and or bromides, they use the word protein quite deceptively. 3. Colloidal Silver Atoms made with zero chemicals from start to finish.
This is important since the single atoms are attached to the water molecules so you do not ever need to use chemicals to make Pure Colloidal Silver 3000 to 18000 PPM of individual atoms, that can be billions of times smaller than a 200 nm particle (particles have measured up to 200 nm).
History has proven that Silver is anti viral and anti bacterial, it is used to sterilize hospital rooms, it is used to treat burns and many other uses by certain health institutions.
Just recently an article came out that since modern antibiotics are not working, pharmaceutical companies are starting to add silver nanoparticle to the antibiotics, which is a complete hypocritical turn around.

I would use caution with any oral homeopathic/herbal remedy with children. I had a patient once whose mother gave him all sort of things to boost his immune system, kidney function, brain development, eye health, etc. He ended up requiring a liver transplant because all the medications damaged his liver beyond repair.
