Head and Shoulders with Selenium Sulfide worked for us! I tried Baby Oil as suggested by a friend and was told not to pick it! but the Baby Oil only temporarily worked right after his bath. hes pedi told us to wait it out or use Selenium Sulfide which is in most anti dandruff shampoos and it cleared it up in a week. i use it about once a month just in case but have not had any signs of it returning.

Comb olive oil into thier hair. I only had to do it once with my daughter and it cleared up instantly.

Before trying anything with chemicals, definetly try natural options first. I would try Calendula cream. Specifically Weleda, they have it at diapers.com it's 9 or 10 dollars and it's awesome! I use it as a diaper cream everyday because of it's anti fungal properties. You could also try coconut oil too.

My friend had the same problem with her daughter and her doctor told her to use Selsen Blue shampoo once a week.

Cradle cap doesn't hurt; it only looks bad. My doctor told us to wait it out and, sure enough, by the time my son was 6 months old it went away.

Try Cetaphil. It is a very mild soap. Be patient and once you see it flake, gently brush his hair backwards. It should clear up and not come back. Worked on both my kids.

Any brand of dandruff shampoo will clear up cradle cap. My son had it when he was about 6 months old and I used Head and Shoulders on him and it cleared up within a couple of days.

Take some Bragg's raw organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar ( you can buy it at Kroger's) and put about a teaspoon or so in some a plastic cup and use it as the final rinse on your son's hair and do it each time you wash it. It will take care of it.

My daughter also had cradle cap as well, after I tried lotions, and oil and many other remedies, I informed her pediatrician and she prescribed her a very low dose of Hydrocordizone cream and it got rid of it in about a week. Never had another problem since! I hope this will help. :)

My daughter had the really dry cradle cap. I used Dove shampoo and baby oil everyday, but it took a couple weeks to clear up! also an addition to the eczema...our doc suggested vaseline...u use a damp cloth first on the affected areas (just to get them kind of damp) nad then put on vasline over it, while its still wet. 3-4 times a day...it cleared up in 2-3 days! and she had really really bad eczema

I feel your pain, my daughter had it so bad... The doctor gave me a few suggesttons which I will pass on to you. Selsum Blue shampoo. Put it on let it dry, about 10 minutes. Please be very careful as this is adult shampoo and when rinsing off you do not want to get it into his eys. This did work on Audrey, however there were some pesky spots that would not go away. Our last resort before presciption medication, was cortizone. You can buy at any store!! Worked like a charm on her including on her excema!!!! Now this was after many different treatments and I did not want to have to use the precription stuff. Audrey still has bouts of excema, we are careful to use excema creams and wash everything in dreft!! Good luck, I hope this helps!!

My son had it really bad and this really worked for me...I used chick pea flour (bought at any asian market) and mixed it with water to make a paste. Put it on his head and let it dry, then take a warm wash cloth and wash it off. I only did this once and his cradle cap was gone and never came back.
