Creatively dealing with sadness and anger!

I used to say I'm a young mother of three, but that is no longer true these days. I am in my mid thirties with a 16 year old daughter, 12 year daughter and 10 year old son. My son was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 2006 at the age of 3. I have been a stay at home mom, nearly all my years of motherhood. CF, to put it mildly, has done a number on me emotionally. I keep a good face, but am deeply hurting inside. I began to focus on writing children's books to try and earn money to help out with the cost of my sons medications, doc visits, surgeries. At first not really fully applying myself. After my second book, The Gumshoes: A New Town Oh Joy!, I realized that I am finding comfort in writing, That in a way it is helping me focus my energy into positive creations instead of the alternative.

I don't really have a question, though I wanted to share my story as inspiration for those of you who struggled like me. Hope it helped!

Valerie, it sounds to me like you've found a wonderful outlet, for both your frustration with the situation, and your stress/anger/sadness, and that is awesome.

You are a very strong woman, and you are such a wonderful mom! I can tell, because you are still hanging in there and being that strong woman and wonderful mom!

Blessings to you, your family, and especially your precious son as he handles his medical problems!
