Hi im a first time mommy . My daughter is 10 months and has two teeth now. I was wondering when should I stop the bottles or how should I start cutting it out.

My pediatrician told me to make sure she didn't have a bottle to long after turning a year old. But friends of mine have had their pediatricians tell them 2 years old. So, I don't know. We stopped giving our daughter her bottle just after her one year birthday.

When we stopped giving our daughter bottles we did it slowly. Meaning that we started giving her sippy cups with her meals instead of a bottle. She still had her bottle in the morning, after nap time and before bedtime. Once she was used to the sippy cups we took the bottle away after nap time and eventually the morning and evening went away as well.

My SIL just took the bottle away. For her it took about a week of her daughter constantly asking for it but after that she had no issues.

Good luck!
