Depressed over my teenage daughters breakup, is this normal?!?

My 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend just broke up and it is has sent me reeling! I have been crying and feel really, really sad. Is this a normal reaction?

I agree with Sarah, it's not normal to be so upset over your child's relationship ending.

What are you sad about? Are you upset that your daughter is sad, to are you sad that their relationship ended? I don't think it is typical for a mother to be that invested in her child's dating relationships? Did you envision them getting married. Unless she were an adult and ending a marriage with kids involved, then I do think you are overreacting.
