Did any stay at home moms have a hard time entering the work force after years of being home with the kids?

What was your experience in the job hunt after years of not being in the job market? Where you able to find a job or not? I'm worried of not being able to find a professional job after taking off a few years to be a stay at home mom.

Yes, I have been unemployed for 10 years now. Before that I was in banking for 10 years. My youngest is in kinder now and things are very tight, so I have been looking and looking. It is very discouraging, especially because EVERYTHING is to be applied for online. I have been looking now for a few months and haven't received one call back.

Yes, but I was technically employed by my husbands business as an office worker, and I did volunteer work. I think those two things helped my resume look better than without them. If you have done any volunteer work during that time, or organized any playgroups, etc. I would include that. I got a part time job rather quickly, but later looked for FT and it took much longer to find something.
Good luck.
