Does anyone else still have pain during sex after pregnancy?

It has been over 4 months since the birth of my son and I still am uncomfortable and experience pain during intercourse. All I ever get in response from healthcare providers is more lubricant! Any more ideas or support out there?

Hang in there. it GETS BETTER! I promise. my doctor actually told em to do it MORE often. it may be uncomfortable but the lubricant def helps. the more you do it the better it gets. its kinda like painting, youmay have been good at it once upon a time but after not doing it for awhile your muscles get sore and tender and it all feels a bit rusty. It gets better. Just need to struggle thru it and be sure your partner knows to take it easy and maybe be creative, some positions feels much better than others. good luck :)

I have pain and my son is 8 months. I find unless i am "horney" that is will hurt i have to be in the mood for it to not hurt, And thats hard to get into since i have little to no sexdrive. Also i find that if i do it more often through the week it gets better. Good Luck

haha 17 months really im pregnant again and it is starting to get better we use lubs now all the time but until just recently we didnt have sex very much cuz it did hurt and dont get me wrong it still hurts esp if it goes on to long or too deep or something and the first while or so it still hurts too try different ways im not really into a ton of different positions but on top it doesnt hurt that much but also ive learned that find out what he is doing like if my hubby starts to kiss a ton he starts to forget and "loose control" down there so we dont do a ton of kissing any more maybe some floor play might help but i never found it too just take it very very easy and use some lubs (although i dont reconmend the his and hers ky that stung and burned the hell out of me) but it does start to feel better and hurt less when you learn more about your "new" body down there and also his body while you are having sex oh also try to relax but dont feel bad to say ouch when it hurts just pay attention to whats happening

It`s been 15months since the birth of my baby girl and it is still uncomfortable!During sex, it is not so bad. After sex, I have a sharp pain.Like if I was beeing burned. The doctor also talked about lubricant and it is not the case.We always use it and the problem is still there.I talked to another doctor, she told me I had no infection and that I should talk to my husband about it...I freakin think my husban knows about it, hes the one I have sex with..So, I am trying to find another doctor here, to have a 3rd opinion...

10 months after the birth of my daughter intercourse is finally just "uncomfortable" at first. When we started trying to have sex again it was so painful that I couldn't do it at all. My doctor said it had to do with a tight muscle from 22 hours of hard labor and then an emergency c- section. He also said it would work out slowly on its own, but I was not expecting 10+ months of working it out.

I have discovered alot of patience and slow going is slowly working out the discomfort.

That's exactly what my doctor said - more lubricant! Believe me, mine's not a lubrication problem! It is painful, like a sharp pain for me, but just in the beginning, after a few seconds etc... it gets better, and then it goes away completely. Hope you come right! My little girl's 6 month old.

Its been 9 mos for me, and its still uncomfortable at first, not painful and it is only at the beginning of intercourse for me- its seem to be getting less noticeable though every time:)
