I have been doing Weight Watchers since April 2008 and I have lost almost 100 pounds. I too had tried everything ans nothing ever worked or I would lose a few pounds only to gain it all back and then some. I have 3 young children and no time to go to a fitness center. I joined Weight Watchers only because my friend wanted to join and had a coupon for a friend to join free. I had no expectations and simply followed the program and was suprisingly never hungry and I lost 11.2 pounds my first week. I am now down 96.1 pounds and stayed pretty much on track over the holidays. Thats the great thing about Weight Watchers you can eat anything!!! Give it a try. You can usally sign up for free this time of year and if you try it for just one week I bet you will see results and have more energy. Good LUCK and have a great New Year!

I recent have been told to watch my diet, due to possible high blood sugar levels.  I was told to eat alot of greens.  Don't like, don't eat.  But I did cut back on the soda's I drink.  I switched to drinking mostly tap water, or water with cyrstal light in it.  I also just cut back on my starch intake.  We eat alot of potates and mac-n-cheese.  I hardly ever do any kind of excerise.  I walk sometimes.  I ended up losing 20 pound in 2 months, without hardly even trying.  Good Luck to you.

I'm in the same boat with losing weight. I am keeping a journal of what I eat, how many servings, calories, etc. I use www.myfitnesspal.com You create your profile, what you weight, what you want to weight and it will ask you other questions and then tell you how many calories a day you should eat. And then you keep track of your food and exercise on there-plus a message board with other members for support. I am also trying to get in exercise at least 3 days a week. It is hard at times with having 2 children and being a full time college studenty but I'm trying. Good luck!

Diet and exercise really are the key. It's free to change your eating habits and you're not putting chemicals into your system with scary pills that freak out your natural metabolic state. Drink nothing but water, lift weights and make sure you *sweat* at least a few times a week. Limit carbs and sugars, up protein and raw veggies. The weight will come off. Also remember that you didn't gain the weight overnight - it came on over time. It'll take time to come off, too. I think having patience with yourself through the process is also necessary for success.

my mother and I both quit smoking and gained weight. We tried everything then came across a product called Metabo-Extreme, not to be confused with Metablife. we both lost over 25lbs in about 7 weeks time. The best part of this pill is not only is it under 20.00 including shipping cost off of ebay it does not give you the jitters or keep you up at night. I know it worked for both of us. Oh yeah neither of us really do any exercise either.

Start with a simple goal and gradually set new expectations.  Whenever I make a fitness plan I work with an eight week time frame and always shoot for a reasonable goal such as stronger  arms, better balance, or increase in flexibility.  Starting small is the key - If you can get through eight weeks and feel like you've achieved something, you'll be more likely to repeat the process and always be getting new results.   This plan is always the way I start up when I've slacked off:  Week one I increase my water intake, everyday I try to add more water and by day seven I'm up to the eight+ glasses that are needed to be hydrated.  Week two is for weight lifting, 30 min. 3x a week.  Week three, add 15 min. light cardio to weight lifting sessions.  Week four - eight is about maintaining the three 45min workouts, keeping water intake high and eating healthy.

As far as eating healthy, the following rules work for me.  Whole grains only, NO WHITE BREAD, NO POTATOES.  Oatmeal or granola is a great way to start the day, high in fiber and protein to keep your tummy feeling full.  Eat high protein, low carb meals that a full of veggies.  For a snack try a handful of dry roasted nuts or a hard-boiled egg.  If you get the munchies, make a cup of herbal tea instead of a snack - hot fluids are a comforting way to suppress the appetite.  Cut the sugars, take a three bites of a dessert instead of eating the whole thing.  Last but not least, DO NOT DRINK YOUR CALORIES!  No fluffy coffee shop drinks, no smoothies, and (gasp) only drink an alcoholic beverage 1-2 times a week.

Good luck, and remember will power is your friend.

Hi Amber,

I see you live in Austin, TX. I lived there  4 years ago and absolutely loved it. I'm glad you found this patch that works for you. But if you could get paid to work out, would you? Let me know and I"d love to share this opportunity with you.

OK> I literally just sent this out to all of my friends on Facebook. I have to tell you I've tried everything! I've done Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, cleanses, fasting, South Beach, etc. Just a little about me... I'm 5'0", and I currently weigh 137. I started at 142 3 weeks ago. I have a 12 yr old son and 11 yr old girl. I'm a single mom of almost 9 years, and it's been a tough road. I'm trying to get down to 110. Below is what I sent earlier today. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

"Typically, I would think this to be quite hokey, but I've experienced results first hand. So, I have to share! I've got a good 30 lbs to lose STILL, but I have lost 5 lbs and 4 inches in the past 3 weeks even during the holidays when I ate like a COW. Typically, people gain 5-7 lbs during the holidays, and I've lost! And, I haven't worked out one single day!

I have to say that I'm confident in so many areas, and while I DO carry my extra layer of baby fat very well, the weight has been my biggest insecurity. It's been nights with the girls where I'm the "fat friend" or a boy telling me he can't go out with me because of my phsyique. And it hurts. And, frankly, I can't believe I'm telling you all of this, but I've tried everything! I've finally found something that works. I have one friend that lost 50 lbs in 4.5 mos and another friend that has lost 14 lbs since October. And neither have worked out AT ALL!

Now, I will tell you that as of this week, I've actually started trying to eat more healthy. I think I will gradually get the work outs going next week. So, I can't wait to report those results! I JUST WANT TO BE SKINNY. That's the bottom line, but I will tell you the girlfriend of mine here in Round Rock, TX is now making $1900/wk just from sharing the product with others. Wouldn't that be the icing on the cake!

So, if you or anyone you know might be in the same predicament as I, PLEASE share this link with them. The Jen Fe Power Patch is what I'm wearing, and whether you like it or not, I'm going to be sending monthly pics of my new fabulous body! I love and miss you all!

Fat loss not lean loss is the answer. Go to www.icanlosefat.com undermarketing if you want a homebased business to hear how this is different from all others in the fat vs.lean ratio.  I am looking to partner with a support team that wants to lose fat. and earn an income too or just make enough to pay for your OsoLean powder every month. Healthy weight loss  and a new technology.

Hi Candice,

I am a lifestyle and wellness coach - there a number of variables to weight loss.  First and for most, it is a balance. Kcal in and Kcal out.  If you cut 500Kcal a day you will lose a pound a week. Add some resistance training in to build muscle - burn more fat.  If you want more info let me know.

The healthiest way to do it is to eat right and exercise.  I lost 30 pounds in 3 months simply switching to an anti-inflammatory diet (try one of Dr. Nicholas Perricone's books-there are lots of others out there too) and you don't have to starve.  You eat higher quality carbs, higher quality grains and good fats.  You eat barely any sugar-there are other ways to sweeten food.  As long as you follow the rules, you can eat as much as you like.  It was a hard switch in the beginning, but now I'm good to go.  I now have enough energy to chase the kids and even exercise after they're in bed.

I did weight watchers over about a 6 month period and lost almost 40 pounds. It really comes down to watching what you eat. I found that as long as I try to get in my 5 servings of fruits and veggies in a day, I tend to eat less of the "junk food". I also used an exercise bike 3 times a week for about 30 minutes. That worked for me. Like the other poster said, there is no "quick fix", the only healthy way to do it is to watch what you eat and exercise. Otherwise you'll just gain it back 3 fold when you stop doing whatever fad diet you're on.

Before I was pregnant I was losing weight with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVDs. There's only 3 but it's hard core and it was working amazing! Also everyone says "breakfast is the most important meal to jump start your metabolism" - Special K all the way!

I gained 60 pounds when I was pregnant with my son! It took me a year to loose it, but I did! Every pound. RUN, RUN, RUN! I ran, and still run almost everyday. There is no quick fix, no miracle pill, you have to exercise and eat good. I notice that when I cut out sugar, watch my carbs and eat lots of Veggies, weight does come off. It takes hard work at dedication to do it!! My sister-in-law is a dietician at the Med center here in Omaha. She always tells me that it comes down to calories in vs calories out. Everything you eat counts. You have to make sure that you are eating enough or your body goes into starvation mode!! Hope this helps!

[deleted account]

I was recently introduced to a new product that is amazing. My best friend came back from a convention in LV with a chocolate that helps with weight loss......I thought it was crazy but decided to give it a try.  Since starting on the chocolate in the middle of November I have lost 8lbs(even through the holidays where I was eating everything in sight and not working out) and am now selling it.  Check out my website at  www.youngevityonline.com/jentroll
