My little girl is 18 months and I want to make her a cheap easy and unique halloween costume. Any ideas would be helpful.

last year my daughter went as a chicken. Orange legging (walmart $3), orange socks (optional), over sized white pullover hoodie (it was at garage sale for 25 cents. I glued yellow felt on hood for chickenmohawk, and glued red felt on the neck for the "wattle" or as my daughter calls it the "gobbler"

My daughter already had a purple sweat-suit, but any color would work. I then went to Joann Fabrics and they had bagged accessories. I bought a pair of bright colored Dragonfly wings, and a headband antenna. Painted her face (corners of her eye's, nose, etc...) with some satin eye shadow I had and she just wore her tennis shoes.

Out of all of the costumes she has worn since then that one is still my favorite. It was under $6 bucks.

This is probably not the best idea for a little girl but we made my baby boy the Addams Family baby. black onsie, eyeliner moustache, mascara to make his little locks up front black, he was PERFECT!

For my daughter we had a white christening gown (already owned it) spent $5 on angel wings and a halo and 99cents on featherboa/white feathery garland stuff - only it wasn't feathers. wrapped the boa/garland around the edge of the wings and tucked them in along side her in her stroller (to young to walk). $6 total cost.

Check resale shops for cheap costumes.

a sheep. :) take a white pillow case and cut arm holes, glue cotton balls all over it......elmers glue.....and make a little mound of balls for the tail. then all you have to do is paint on a little black nose. i made this costume for my 5 year old, it came out really cute. good luck.
