I have worked in nutrition and yes, I do take vitamins. Just remember that they are not a substitute for a good diet. As a woman I take a pre-natal vitamin even when I'm not pregnant. The extra calcium and folic acid doesn't hurt.

Also, if you don't have a diet high in fish and flax I would recommend an EFA complex with Omega 3, 6, and 9. Other than that, only take what you feel you really need (Glucosamine if you have joint issues, for instance) and concentrate on getting what you can through diet and small amounts of sun exposure.

... i dun really take vits, as in the pills like multivits & minerals, blah blah... i thought i dun need it... but last week i broke my arm bones which made me realize how brittle my bones have become. from diet habits (lotsa caffeine, maybe?) , lifestyle (i smoke quite alot...) & last but not least, because i never took any of them vits.... i thought being strong (as in, i dun fall sick all year, like really sick?!) meant i am healthy as well... not to mention my voluptuous & overgrown built, haha...



 



anyhow, i now plan to take vitamins........ after my recuperation from my recent operation.... never too late, right?....  guess u shud consider as well? (unless u're really sure u're healthy & have a healthy lifestyle to match...

My family members each take a childrens multi vitamin everyday. Our doctor says even adults don't need more than that.

We do take these ones, some on rotation and others daily.

Acidophillus, calcium, materna, Vit. C, sometimes Vit. D, garlic, magnesium/calcium and Fish oil.

I do each morning - I still take materna and plan to keep doing so until after I am done having kids. I also take Vitamin D each day & an iron supplement.

I do usually, I have a horrible memory, but it's a good idea too. As Moms we often dont take very good care of ourselves, and should. :)
