Ear Infections?

My daughter is 10 months and has 6 ear infections and she even had a burst ear drum at 8 1/2 months. Her first one was when she was 7 weeks old. She has been to the ear doctor and he said she has had enough infections to keep being monitored but not enough for them to do anything about it. I don't have a lot of experience with them because no one I know has had them regularly and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on how to help her? Any ides on why she is continuously getting them?

Thanks! I am waiting for a second opinion, takes about 4 months to get in. My boyfriend has told me to put oil in her ear but I was worried about it because I had never heard of it before. I will talk to her doctor and see what she thinks.

I am very worried about her losing her hearing especially since her ear drum burst. I didn't even know that was possible until she woke with pus coming out of her ear. Poor baby girl I hope they figure this out soon.

Yes. My children have had recurrent ear infections until they were around 15 months old. I use Ear Oil, all natural ingredients, to help prevent them. Works great! Found it when my youngest was 8 months old, and she has not had an ear infection since.
Here's what I used.

I would get a second opinion. She sounds like she would really benefit from having grommets in. It's amazing the difference they make.

Well my second son who is 1years old got his first ear infection, and the doc told me that it is from fluid build up, and it cant drain…

Anyway with my oldest son who is now 8years old, had many ear infections starting when he was 10months old all the way until he was 2 ½ and by 3 years old he had lost 20% of his hearing and they put tubes in his ear.

They can do something about her ears now, im sure she has been on several different meds for her ears, I think you should get a second opinion about her ears, because 6already is a lot, and she could lose a little or a lot of her hearing…. don’t mean to scare you, but I wish I knew then what I know now, and I would have gotten second opinions instead of having my son on antibiotic after antibiotic and other things,….
