My son gets eczema in the summer and fall from the dry air. We live in Texas. Mostly if you lotion morning and night or just once a day it should stay under control. Aveno is expensive but their replenish lotion does wonders. The eczema specific one isn't worth the money. He is 15 months old now and it comes back. Usually once they have it it will come back again so just keep up on the lotion. I use Johnson's now because I can't afford aveno but with aveno it only takes once in the morning and lower quality lotion takes 2-3 times a day

Try omega 3/6/9 supplements and topical almond oil or pure virgin olive oil. Oatmeal baths are also soothing. Eczema can be aggravated by laundry detergent and dryer sheets as well. Try an all natural detergent or make it yourself from recipes found on the web site. Research the trigger may find any commercially made formula or food/milk/juice etc has preservatives that can aggravate. Its a process of elimination while making sure she isn't in pain or uncomfortable. If you don't want to go the natural route your doctor can prescribe a cream...they often contain steroidal composites but if it works it can alleviate everyone's misery while you figure out what works. Good luck!
