Im worried about a c-section if it comes to it. I want to atleast try to push. But because he may be between 8 and 9lbs doctors recommend c-sections. Im really nervoudms and would love for the process to be smooth. But in the back of my.mind lingers some worries. I need one encouraging words and someone who's been through what i may have to go through

Firstly, doctors are actually quite clueless as to predicting the size of a baby. I was told mine would be 7lb, but she came out 5lb 2oz. It happens ALL the time.

Secondly, unless you have a very small pelvis or some kind of other condition, I am not sure why your doctor thinks you can't push out an 8 or 9lb baby. Most women can.

You have the right to deliver however you want. Unless you are very, very petite, why does your doctor think you can't push out a 8 or 9 lb baby? Women do it every day! Now, if your baby is breech or there is a legit risk, then you need to let go and follow your doctors advice.
I worked as a L&D nurse earlier in my career. I always told moms, the goal is to have a healthy baby and a healthy mom. Sometimes things do not go the way you want and that is alright, you want a healthy baby in the end. I don't think it is unreasonable for you to try to labor and see how you progress. If you don't dilate because the baby won't descend, or you push and can't get the baby to move, then you can change plans. Start discussing this now with your doctor so you don't end up feeling bullied.
Also, the ultrasound measurements and doctors estimates are generally high. Trust me I have seen it many, many times.
Remember though, the most important thing: For you both to come home from the hospital healthy!

Drs have no way of really knowing, if you want to try and deliver naturally just be firm with your drs, you're the patient!

Try not to worry! I was told my LO was going to be 8lbs 5 oz.....and she was only 6lbs 12 oz. my best advice is to go with the flow. Your in good hands and they will make the best decisions for you and your baby.
