I am 38 years old and saw my doctor yesterday. she ordered a fertility work up for me to have done to see why I have not gotten pregnant in the past 6 months. I have blood work, and ultrasound and another procedure where they insert dye into my tubes. I am very worried about all this. has anybody ever had all this done? if so any success stories? I am scared for the results. my husband and I really hoping for a baby soon.

It's no point worrying about the results, they are what they are.
Have you discussed with your husband the possibility of having to do IVF or adoption? I think you need to discuss what other options are available so you know what the next step will be if the results aren't what you were hoping for.

What are worried about, the test itself or the results? The test with the dye is call a hysterosalpingogram, it may be a bit uncomfortable but it doesn't hurt and the doctor will know right away if your tubes are patent for an egg to travel through to fertilize and implant. Many women have babies at your age and older. Good Luck
