You moms have been so great with suggestions!. My baby has had gas issues since she was born, I'm slowly starting her on solids now and i;m scared it's going to get worse!! We are up several time a night helping her pass it from both ends she tosses and turns quite a bit throughout the night untill we get up and help her. I use gripe water and oval, i tried probiotics, and formula with a gas relief. Any other suggestions that you found worked for you??

I still use gas drops every once in a while, and my daughter is almost 1. We had a horrible time with it from birth. For us, switching from nursing to a non-soy formula worked. Now that she's eating more solid foods, we use the same rule we followed when ruling out what I was eating that made her gas worse -- only add or eliminate one food at a te per week. For instance, I had dairy for a week, then had none at all for a week. It turned out her gas got better when I had no dairy, and I changed nothing else, so I knew that was it. Sorry I rambled, but hope it helps!

Mylecon drops for gas, and skip the cereal. We NEVER gave cereal to our baby. Go with fruit and veggies and regular formula.

We used simethicone drops for gas, which helped a lot. It might be worth it to try switching formulas, in case she's allergic to something. And don't discount her pediatrician. They may have some ideas on how to help with gas.

Talk to your doctor first about changing to any other formula's. Soy should only be used as a last resort.

We put our son (tummy first of course) on the top of our head. It started out as a game, but it gets that gas out so well! And, he seems to have fun being up there!

I had to switch my son from rice cereal to oatmeal, as I found out that rice cereal can make a baby more constipated. But, try it first as it is the easiest for allergies. And, bananas will constipate them too. Try sweet potatoes, apples, and squash.

Good luck, I know how it is! :)

My son had very bad gas and we had to switch him to soy formula, it worked like a charm. Through talking to several other parents I find this to be a common problem and a lost of babies are lactose intolerant for the first 9-12 months. I'm not sure how old your baby is but it's worth a shot, also I think juice can make gas worse. Our pediatrician recommended giving my son 1oz of juice because the soy formula made him constipated and a little bit of the gas returned. It's much more manageable now though and he seems to have an easier time passing it too.

Do you burp her everytime she eats and have you tried just the regular gas drops?
