Hi. I am currently pregnant with my second child and am on hospital bedrest. My water broke at 29 weeks and I am now 30 and 1 day. I was informed that if labor did not start on its own that I would be induced at 34 weeks, Aug 14, but then today the doc come in and said that when consulting with the high risk doctor that it is safer to induce at 32 weeks, July 31.

Im nervous and never had the NICU experience.

Anyone ever delivered at or around 32 weeks please share your story or give some advice. I have no idea on what to expect for the road ahead.

I did not deliver at 32 weeks but delivered at 35 weeks with twins (they took them due to growth restriction). The dr told us at this point they are better outside than inside. They both went to the NICU-never experienced that before. We were scared. Noone ever explained the possibilities of going to the NICU what happens, etc. My girl stayed a total of 14 days and boy stayed 9 days The staff in the NICU always kept us informed on everything. I do not wish anyone to have a child in the NICU there are so many ups and downs. But rest asure that your baby will be home sooner than you think. They are in great hand in the NICU-trust them they know what they are doing. I am not going to lie it is scary and sad leaving the hospital without the baby is heartbreaking! I wish you the best of luck and hope everything goes well. I hope this helps and doesn't scare you even more. One thing is the NICU staff are highly qualified staff there to take care of your precious miracle! :)
