I am trying to find information on the possibility of conceiving at 40. Keep being told that it might be impossible for me to do so. I am starting relationship with someone who was not have any children and would like to have children. So now I'm starting to get nervous.

Well, it MIGHT not be possible. The way our fertility works is that it starts declining quite rapidly from the age of 35. Obviously every women is different, however, and you may still be able to conceive. There are ways these days that they can do tests to determine your remaining fertility. I'mm not sure what the test is called. However, you do have to accept the fact that your fertility is likely to be low and you also may need some assistance with your fertility. Yes, lots of women get pregnant after 40, but lots of women don't.
