Has anyone ever gotten pregnant after having a tubal ligation?

Well I had a tubal after my son & it was explained to me that the dr took and burnt the tube in 3 separate places and it IS near impossible to have it reversed. I think the technology is so far advanced now, getting pregnant after it will NEVER happen!

Not me, but a friend of mine is a result of a failed tube tying. Her mom got it about 25 years ago, so I'm not sure what changes have been made to the procedure since then. Anyways, roughly 3 years after the procedure, my friends mom ended up pregnant with her. She had the procedure redone after giving birth and, instead of just snipping and tying off (as she had the first time), she had them cauterize them.
I've always heard, from both the male and female aspect, that a snipe or a tie can be flawed or can heal over time (or can later be reversed). When having the tubes cauterized though, you are MUCH less likely to have an oops. They are also very difficult or damn near impossible to reverse.
