What are ways that I can get my 13 year old to get up for school on time? I have given him two alarm clocks and he still manages to sleep in. He's been really relying on me to wake him up and I find that at 13 years old this is a responsibility he should start getting used to, especially with high school being around the corner.
What are ways that I can help him be more independant with this?

My son is 14 and has been responsible for getting himself up every morning on time to get ready for school since he was 12. So absolutely your 13 year old should be doing it himself.
My deal with my son is that if he doesn't wake up, it must mean he is too tired, and therefore, he needs to go to bed earlier. In two years, he has slept in once.
I would suggest that if your son is sleeping through two alarm clocks, he is tired. Time to reconsider his bed time. My son has to wake each morning at 6:30am and his bedtime is 9:30pm. That works great for him - it gives around him 9 hours sleep. A teen should be getting that much sleep at minimum.

He can get his own butt up, or face the concequinces. He over sleeps take the power cords to everything and give him a nice list of stuff to do.

What happens if he sleeps in? When my husband grew up, if he slept in and didn't catch the bus, he was welcome to stay home for the day. But... his mom had a whole list of chores that needed to be done by him by the time everyone got home. He didn't ever choose to sleep in. :)
That probably wouldn't work if he truly hates school, but for someone who just needs the motivation, it might be a good method. You might want to take the video games and internet modem with you when you go to work (or hide them if you stay home) so it truly is a miserable time for him.
