Hello. I'm a mother of a 3.8 year old son and we are in the midst of potty training. We've tried the potty bootcamp where he's sat on the potty every hour with some success but its erratic. He's done #1 more often than #2 for me but not for his day care. Its reached the point where no day care can help us. Both my husband and I have tried to be encouraging but are understandably frustrated as to why this is taking so long. I have heard that some are not ready even at this point but is there something else we are missing? Could someone help us please?

We did the cold turkey method.

Worked great. Within 3 days, no accidents.

He's ready. Good luck!

Hi and thank you for getting back to me. For the moment, the training is on hold due to a stomach bug and strep throat so I'm going to wait for another day. By the weekend, depending on how he responds to medication, I hope to re-establish the potty training and make it fun for him.

He is ready. He is in control and knows it. If you still put diapers or pull ups on him, stop cold turkey. It will be a totally different sensation if he pees/poops in underwear. Diapers wisk away all the wet...undies don't. Try rewards every time he uses the toilet. Stick with it, he is almost 4.
