Help! Suggestions and advice needed for son with Tourette's/OCD/Anxiety!

Let me start off by saying my son has had no traumatic experiences, no recent deaths in the family, no previous history of anything at all. He also was an easy healthy pregnancy and baby! SO, about a week ago, my 4 year old son was diagnosed with Tourette's and mild OCD with anxiety. It has been going on for about 4 months and finally took him in to a neurologist to get some answers. He would have eye tics, worsening anxiety (i.e. where is grandma? Mom, youre not leaving are you? etc...) and intermittent sleep patterns. We were prescribed Tenex 2.5 mg daily before bedtime. It, to us, has given him worsening effects with his sleep. He was bad before, but now he maybe sleeps an hour to 2 a night! I am scared to put him on any other medication and have him turn into a "zombie" but this one is clearly not working. I need advice, suggestions, just a virtual hug to tell me it will get better! LOL! I am awaiting a call back from the doctor's nurse while I write this but it seems they have been a little less then helpful... This will be my second call just this week... Otherwise he is a smart, funny, good boy... I just want him back to the way he was before this diagnosis. It is giving us all insomnia and making him seem like he is bouncing off the walls!!

My son has Aspergers and mild tourettes. I actually don't medicate him for said tourettes due to it being so mild. (That and due to the aspergers it's very easily overlooked) Anyhow I just wanted to let you know that the first few months of a diagnosis are the hardest, but it does get easier, especially once you've read everything, and settle into a good routine.
