I am struggling ith the idea of getting my tubes tied, I really want another baby but my husband is too worried of the risks of a 4th c-section!

well i have been thinking about having a other child to and that will be my 4th but it will be a c section to. but that will be the end for me n i will get my tube tied as well because i do not think i could go throw it all again but i have been told by a midwife that there is no limit on how many c sections u have these days. but again there is that risk of the uterus.

I have heard that 3-4 is the recommended upper limit today. I will be in your shoes as well-- I have 2 kids and both were c-sections and I'd like 2 more kids. I have researched this a lot! I really do think it is case-by-case, depending both on your OB and on the condition or your uterus each time. Some people have minimal scarring while others get a lot. I have heard of one woman who, like the Duggars, has left the number of kids she has up to the lord. She has had a c-section each and every time and has 9 children! So that definitely gives people like us hope! Good luck :)

I asked my OB about how many C-Sections I can have, because I have had 2, he said I can have as many kids as I want, I will just have to have C-Setions each time. I think Michelle Duggar has had 4 C-sections.

go and see a consultant and talk about it, sometimes its not worth listening to others because they can only tell you their opinions about themselves. and this can come across very negative!! i am having my fourth c-section and im 37 weeks, stay positive and good luck to you and your husband.

I would be careful about asking this question here. I am going to be having my second c-section in July. My Dr said that with each one, your uterus gets weaker, so the risk after having multiple c-sections is that your uterus could burst while pregnant. I don't know the stats on it. I plan on having no more than 3 children, and my dr said I should be just fine, but the risks just get higher and higher with each one. If your uterus bursts while pregnant, you will most likely lose the baby and if the baby lives through it, he/she will have permanent damage in most cases. Again, this is what my Dr told me and you should get the opinion of your Dr.
