How can I help my pregnant daughter?

Katie - posted on 06/01/2012 ( 3 moms have responded )

I feel so helpless, my daughter is 6 months pregnant and she is walking around with a black eye because her stupid boyfriend doesn't know how to keep his hands to himself! I am so angry and I will be more so if she goes back to him! I went through the same thing with her father and I got the hell out! I wish she would take my advice and throw him to the curb but she says she has no where to go once the baby's here! My house is too small and I would have to have an occupancy permit which they will not give me. How can I help her, I don't know what to do but I want her and my unborn Granddaughter to be safe!

Thank you everyone for your input, but moving out is not an option for me. I am happily married and I love my husband very much! We have tried letting her stay here before until we got ticketed for not having her on the permit. We just don't have the room and believe me, if we did she would be here!

Look for a mother and baby refuge in your area and give them a ring. Then talk to your daughter telling her of her options. If she stays this man could hit her one to many times and harm the baby and ruin your daughters life for good. She probably thinks she loves this guy, she needs to realise that violence is not love. If she loved her baby she would keep her safe and away from this dead beat. I hope it works out for you.

Could you delete on of your posts? This is a duplicate. I have already made an answer on the other one.
