Hello moms,
My name is Leah and a mother of a 2 months old son and I have a step daughter who seems to be distant from me because of some reasons. We have been together for 2 years now. I need advise on how to come close to her.

Jessica my dear, she is 16 years and I found her 14 years but she had started smoking and so involved with boys which I stopped her from doing and yes she communicates with the mother. Since then she is so distant.

What are the reasons you feel she is distant from you? Or you aren't sure? Also, is her biological mother still alive/involved in her life? Are you close in age? There are a lot of factors that need to be explained to help pinpoint a reason why she would stay distant. Sorry for all of the questions, just trying to get on the same page so I can try to help. My parents are divorced and married other people when I was a teenager.
