I have two boys ages 14 & 12, they loved their father so much, my husband and i was seperated. i have a byfriend and my older son really hates him but my boyfriend is willing to wait until they understand us, my son is conservative. what should i do to explain to my son to accept my situation. my boyfriend help us a lot financially as my ex dont give any support to my kids right now. i dont want to choose between my son and my boyfriend if there is a way i can convince my son to understand and accept me.

You can not make your kids accept boyfriends. It does not work that way. Are you still married to your kid's dad? If so, the boys may look at this as someone invading their territory and that of their dad's. No matter how much this BF is helping out or how he is helping out, if the kids do not like him there is not much you can do about it. Your BF has to establish the relationship with the boys himself. If the boys do not want it, there is nothing your BF can do to make it work. It is too much to expect of your kids. Let things take their course and see how it works out.
