How do I get my 28 month old son to sleep through the night. He has never been a good sleeper? HELP

My son has never been a good sleeper, not since he was an infant. I thought it would get better as he got older, but it hasn't. He doesn't take a bottle to bed. He doesn't use a soother. He used to ask for milk and I used to give it to him in a sippy cup, but that has stopped. I think he might have slept a total of 5 solid nights in the past 6 months. I am exhausted. The "Sleep Sense Program" is too expensive for me as I am a single mom. Can anyone offer any helpful advice or tips. PLEASE!.

One of my sons had a sleep problem as he wanted to sleep all day and be up all night and this went on for six months so in sheer desperation I went to the doctors and begged for help. My gp prescribed Phenergon which is a travel sickness medication but it induces sleep. I had to use it for three nights to kick start his sleep cycle and put it on par with every body elses. It worked really well and I have not had to use it again. This is a drug that needs to be taken under the advice of a doctor so make an appointment and see what they can offer you.
