I grew up Catholic, and asa teenager i went to non denominational churches and youth groups, but as i got older I've kind of started questioning where i really stood in my faith. I don't go to church and i don't make any religion apart of my life. It wasn't a concern to me until my 5 year old stared asking me who that man was on that cross and why he was bleeding?? My husband's grandparents have Catholic stuff all in their house, and he prayed the Rosery with them. I didn't brother me, but I'm stuck with all these questions he has.. i feel like i can't share the stories i was taught, bc id b a Hippocrate. Im just really lost. I'm not a non believer, i just don't know enough to put my whole self into saying I'm a Christian.

Well, how did you answer him? Just because you don't want to push the whole Catholic religion doesn't mean you can't honestly answer his questions.

If you believe in God, then you are not a hypocrite for sharing what you learned with your children. If you do not have a faith, yet push your children to have one, THEN you can call yourself a hypocrite.

For now, buy a children's bible, and read him the stories. He can ask questions, they can be answered in an age appropriate manner.

We to all take different paths. Some of us grow up in the church and never leave. Other grow up in the church and leave for awhile and then come back. And some find God and the church later in life. Really God does not care what path you take just that you in the end turn to Him. Many people have questions and have to spend searching. That is many times how faith grows. Not all questions are always answered. Sometimes it is kids that bring us back to our faith and church. What I would suggest is attending church with your son. Praying at home. Doing many of those things you did growing up now with your child. It is ok if you are not sure where you stand right now. Sometimes you figure it out as you are going through the motions. God is not a feeling. He is still with you even if you are not sure if you are with Him.
