My 15 daughter is driving me nuts when she thinks that she talk to me anyway she wants. I have tried my best to explain to her how respect works and she turns it back on me and says " You have to give respect to get respect". That is the words I used. She keeps saying that I am not respecting her by treating her like a child and doing things like, and I quote " Ohhh my goshhh. I can't believe you are taking my phone (and) Ohhh my goshhh, I can't believe I have a bed time and have to give up my phone andddddd computer.- It is crazy to me that she thinks that it is ok to sleep with her phone under her pillow so she won't miss a text or call.
Am am wondering if I am going to make it past these years.

When she stops acting like a child you will stop treating her like one. Personally, she wouldn't have a phone at this age if she was my child because I was raised that if you can get a job and buy it yourself, then you can have it. I didn't get my first cell phone until I was in my mid 20s because I couldn't afford it before then. Hell, I didn't have my first car until I was 23 and I bought it myself.

You are going to survive the next three years just fine. From the sounds of it, you are doing a pretty good job and while your daughter might not appreciate it now, she will later on.
