How much tea tree oil should I use in shampoo for treatment/prevention of head lice

My 18yr old got head lice after a spring break trip to orphanges out of country and we treated it once did the combing and thought they were gonna then 3-4 weeks later she found one while showering. She used rid again and combed again til we didn't see any and then a week later retreated again and now after treating it another week later and bam she found another, so shampooing again and combing thru hoping this will be it. I did purchase a different brand of treatment to do in 8 more days and found a metal lice comb to try. I read on some previous posts to try tea tree oil in her shampoo so I found some today but need to know how much to add to bottle of shampoo (ie how much oil/oz of shampoo, my bottle is 13 oz but about 1/3 of it is gone)? How often should she shampoo? Thanks for any help!

I found the best treatment is to smother the head with conditioner and comb through. I did it every night for about 2 weeks and it got rid of them. I also left the conditioner in overnight, it stuns the lice and makes them easier to remove.

The conditioner is a lot better for the hair (since I had to do this on my 2yo) and you can put a couple of drops of tee tree oil in it if you want.
