How to deal with angry Grandparents?

My husband and I have had some big problems for almost a year now. We are seperated, and our boys 10 and 12 are still very much involved with their dad. We have told them that this is not their fault and they have done nothing wrong and so far they belive us. My parents on the other hand have done a complete 180 on my husband. They say horrible things about him and last week they said things about my husband and my boy heard it. I have asked them over and over to keep their thoughts to themselves, (my life is hard enough, I don't need them making it worse) To let ya'll know in July of last year my family and my parents went on a Hawaii cruise together. My parents uesed to joke that if we got a divorce they were taking my husband. My husband and I have decided that the boys should not be around my parents right now, if they can't watch their mouths. My dad is very sick and could die, but I dont want my boys hearing bad things about their dad that just aren't true. Are we going over board by not letting them see my mom and dad?

JuLeah to answer your question my husband has not done anything really bad. He is a great dad, and to be honest we are working very hard to work everything out. But our number one rule as been to work together as parents, and put our boys first.

No, protect your kids from hearing bad things about their dad. Unless he really did something very bad??

But, if it is, they just don't like him cause you two split, then no. Protect your kids
