how to get my ex to sign over his prenatal rights??

my ex is a mental/ physical abuser, he has a record of violence and records of being incarcerated (mental hospital). I didn't know much about him till after I left him because he had laid his hands on me twice, before and after that fact of me being pregnant, according to him he tried getting me pregnant as well. well now I'm soon due and I want nothing to do with him, how do I get him to sign over his parental rights?
