Talk to them and don't dumb down language too much (obviously sometimes you will need to use simpler language). Use puppets and songs like where is thumpkin. Read and count. Kids know what they need developmentally so at this age follow their lead. Keep the TV off. Studies link TV before age 2 to ADHD.
