Up until last week my 2 yr old son was the sweetest, most well behaved baby boy ever.. Then he started daycare. He is now spitting and hitting me constantly, not listening AT ALL.. Im a first time mother and dont believe in hitting my child (though ive been debating it lately). I have 0 patience & have no idea how to handle this behavior lol, the more i try and talk to him the more he screams. so ive been putting him in his room till the tantrum is over then i allow him out.. Does anyone have any other parenting approaches to this "terrible two" situation im am just now begining to deal with.. any and all thoughts would be helpful im sure. xoxo

Ignore the behavior. Don't even send him to his room, that just reinforces it. Pretend like you don't even know he's having a tantrum. When he's done, THEN talk to him. As far as hitting and spitting, sorry to say, common 2 year old behavior.

When he hits, put him down if you're not holding him walk away. Pay NO attention, don't say a word. Same with the spitting.
