My Daughter was born at 10lb 12oz when i had just turned 20 (like a month b4) i was induced at 10 days overdue just because i'd had enough of being pregnant, has nay one else been that young and had a baby that biggish?

I was 5 days late. I was 21yrs old and my son weighed 8lb 9oz not as big as the other ones listed here but the biggest in the hospital and bigger than any of my friend's babies.

They say that babies get progressively bigger, but it doesn't always hold true. My elder son (born when I was 24) was 8lb 6oz. My younger son, born two years later, was 10lb 10oz (vaginal birth, and NOBODY warned me he was going to be that big!) But then my daughter, who was born after a further 7 years, was 8lb 13.5oz... they told me she was going to be big, and I was induced because I was a week overdue (and thoroughly fed up!), but she just turned out normal!

My dad, on the other hand, was supposedly 11lbs at birth and he was an only child, so obviously my grandmother wasn't taking any chances!!

My first was 5 days overdue, I had him when I was 23yrs old and he weighed 9lb 6oz! My second I had at 26yrs old and she weighed 8lb 3oz at 5 days early! My 3rd was 3 weeks early and she weighed 7lb 9oz, so my babies got smaller! The nurses and doctors did say that if all my babies had gone full term, they probably would have been over 9lb!! I wouldn't stress about baby size, and don't believe ultrasound estimates, they are quite often out, you have to give or take about 1lb!

Subsequent babies aren't necessarily bigger. My first was 9lb 4 oz, my second 7lb 1oz.

Babies do get bigger with more pregnancies. My first was 9lb 12oz my second was 9lb 14.5oz and my third was estimated at 13.6oz full term but she was born five weeks early weighing 9lb 3oz! I have stopped now no more for me

my youngest was 7.12 at 3 1/2 weeks early...i totally think that he would have been 10 pounds had i gone to 40 weeks...oh and i was 22 at the time

My first baby (my daughter Melissa) was nine pounds, fourteen ounces...the biggest baby born that day...all the other babies were girls, too..but she was huge compared to them! All these delicate, six pound baby girls, and my ten pounder...my son who was born fourteen months later would have been around eleven pounds according to the doctor who delivered him, but he was five weeks early, weighing in at six pounds, six ounces...needless to say, that's the only kids I had

Taygen was born 54cm lol but her weight made up for length, and she pooped on her daddy just before she was weighed haha ( i still laugh histerically (sp?) when i think about it, if she hadnt she would have been 11lb does anyone have theory on babies getting bigger? i really do think that mine will get bigger cos i dont smoke. i would love another baby but im scared of the birth!

My son was born on his due date. He was 9lb 15 oz (pretty much 10lb). Dr said if he had not pooped before being weighed he would have been well over 10lb. I did hear that the next ones are bigger. My nurse said that I should be induced a few weeks early with the next one to prevent it from being huge!

wow those babies are huge, i was in labour for 16 hours and my baby got stuck and i still had her naturally having a second degree tear, im just so terrified of getting pregnant again and having another massive baby. its scary to think that my mums got smaller but my grandmothers got bigger.

A friend of mine had her daughter (second child) at 25 and she weighed 13lbs 2oz...it was the biggest vaginal-birth baby the hospital had ever seen. And she was only a few days overdue. Yikes!
