I have two boys and I know that each pregnancy is different but why can I feel this baby move when I am only 9-10 weeks along. my first I didn't feel him move until I was 5-6 months and my second I didn't feel him until i was 4 months so I am asking when was the first time when you felt your baby?

I felt mine at 2 months!! it was like a butterfly in my belly!!! The best feeling ever when you feel your child moving inside!! My daughter was a very active , she rolled ,punched or kicked during the day and slept at night!! Thank God!!! or I never would have gotten any sleep!!

It could be gas. Or you could be feeling the baby. With every pregnancy your muscles become more lax and you can start to show earlier or feel the baby earlier. With my first I felt him at 17w i think and i started to show around 5months. With my second I could feel her around 14 weeks and i started showing at 6months. It's just like the laboring process. Now that your body knows what to do, it can be quicker. With my first I went in at 33weeks for 4 days,God help me! They kept stopping it, booked my induction for 39w4d and 8 hours later he was born. With my second i was induced at 39w and it was 2 hours.
Good luck and comgrats!

I have 4 children and I felt all of them at different times. I think part of it is that since you have already had 2 pregnancies you know what you feel and so you are more in tune with what to expect. I know with my youngest I felt him about 8-9 weeks along and I believe I was just waiting to feel him move and because of that I felt things earlier. Either that or I had a great imagination because I know I felt him very early. Believe it and enjoy it as is it such an awesome feeling that until you have been there, no one understands the thrill.

This is you're third, you have already been through this and know what to exspect by now, so you know what a moove feels like. Some can't distinguish that from gas bubbles. Consider you'reself lucky to be bonding so early on. LOL! CONGRATS!!!! and good luck!!

Hi Maria, I first felt my son move when I was about 16 weeks pregnant with him, but I did feel other things going on too before that, maybe it is alot of stretching and growing that you can feel, or maybe your just going to have a little kick boxer on your hands, either way just enjoy it cause there is nothing quite like feeling your baby move :)

With my first baby I felt flutters at 4 months, second at 3 1/2 months, third I didn't feel until 5 1/2 months. That worried me, but when she was born the doctor said that was the most amniotic fluid he had seen. That answered my question, and probably yours. When there is a lot of fluid, its like the baby floating around a pool, with a little bump (probably not noticeable) here as it bounces off the edge. With less fluid, like a one year old in a baby bathtub, not much room and feet and back pushing hard against both sides.

See I really wanted know because when I said I felt my baby move most people think I am 4-5 months and when I say I am only 10 weeks they look at me like I am crazy lol but its the most wonderful feeling to feel your baby move I know what I felt but I want to know if there was a different reason its good to know that I am not the only one. I am so glad that can post my questions and get the a good response thank you all for posting your answers

With my first baby i didnt feel him till bout 18 weeks i recon. but now i am 30 weeks pregnant with my 2nd bub and i felt her very early prob around 11 weeks but very slightly. i was also unsure and had discussions with my doc and midwife they told me this is expected and very common more with ur 2nd 3rd an so on.

Im 9 weeks too and I also thought I felt mine move but then spoke to my midwife and she said there's just far too many things going on right now in our tummy, like excess gas, stretching, etc its a bit unlikely its the baby. Also at 9/10 weeks baby is still in your pelvis and only moves to tummy around 11/12 weeks...If its that distinct movement that we are all too familiar with then you should consider yourself lucky!!I also read that if a woman is really tiny in terms of waist size and weight then you can feel subtle movements very early...

I could have sworn I felt my second child moving at ten weeks. I know for sure I could feel him at 14 weeks because I had to have an ultrasound and I could see him moving while I felt it so who knows?
