I am 27 yrs old & living together with my 9 month old daughters father, we have been together for 9 years & he is verbally abusive towards me in front of her and behind her. I have told him over and over that I want to leave him but then he makes remarks about my life and threatens me about contacting the police with me kidnapping my daughter.

He knows that I have no family in FL & he feeds off of this since all my family is in NYC, he is the only one who is working and yet he gives me no money bc he says that I do not need it. I have applied for so many jobs working from home & nothing, I am into blogging adn writing about self expression bc I have alot of personal experience having been with him for so long. I look @ the bright side of things as a lesson to learned & in life you roll with the punches. I made my bed by allowing it for years but I WILL NOT have my daughter in this mess.

He says that I need to ask him for permission to take our daughter to the park that at the corner of our home. We have one car that is under my name as well as the insurance and he says, I can not use the car if I do not put gas bc all I want it is for joy riding. I have to ask him for permission to take our daughter on vacation to see my family & if he says no then he makes my life hell.

I DO NOT WANT OUR DAUGHTER TO BE IN THIS TYPE OF RELATIONSHIP, I WANT OUT BUT I NEED HELP!!

Your right for not wanting your daughter to be around this kind of relationship. Have you talked to your family about this? Do they know that you want to leave? Are they willing to help you out in anyway? Where you are living is there any shelters for abused women?

Did you have a paternity test done when your daughter was born? I found this website and it should help you a bit.

If you haven't done a paternity test, I believe you can take the child up to New York (hopefully some family could send you some money to get there) and file for custody there.
