Inducing a miscarriage at home and getting pregnant again

I am 38 years old w/ my first pregnancy and went for my 8 week u/s yesterday. No heartbeat was found and I was prescribed misoprostol. Has anyone used this medication and if so what was your experience? Would you have preferred to allow nature to take it's course? I am planning to take the medication Saturday morning but I'm really sad and confused.

Should I try to conceive again? I'm worried I'm playing Russian roulette due to my advanced maternal age but I want a baby so bad!
