Is it better to feed a 9 month old white or brown rice? Is there really a difference?

Brown rice is generally better than white rice for all people, babies included.

Brown rice. Of course there is a difference. Plain white rice has far less Vitamin E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folacin, Potassium, Magnesium, Iron and over dozen other nutrients. Added to that, the dietary fiber contained in white rice is around a quarter of brown rice. We stick to brown rice with our 18 month old.

I used primarily organic brown rice with my son, but that was my preference to use organic and the organic brands use brown rice. I did try a few others when we started rice cereal and honestly the white mixes up easier. For adult brown rice is suppossed to have more nutrition I would think that would transfer over to the powdered kind for baby rice cereal too
