Take the controllers away! He's only 2 1/2, you are the boss. He only gets to play games IF Mommy says so, and with me that would be a big IF. You need to take control of situations like this now because if you back down and let him do whatever he wants, when he wants now your setting yourself up for some much bigger problems later.

Um, no. You're the mom, he's just a toddler, and we all know that computer games are not that great for kids, even the educational ones. It's time for Scary Mom! It might be hard, but it's easier to become the boss now than it will be when he's older.

Any sort of screen time (tv, computer, etc) is actually really bad for people who have trouble sleeping. If you just can't get him to sleep, try reading to him or letting him play with some toys (not electronic, just boring old-fashioned ones!), or have him pat the family pet. My husband used to have trouble getting to sleep, and it really helped to avoid all screens for at least 20 minutes before bedtime.

No. Heck no. Hide the controllers at night, whatever it takes. My mom had to do that to me when I was 5. I wouldn't wake up one morning and they drove me to the hospital and the hospital checked me, didnt know what was wrong and guess what? Later on I woke up and was my fine, perky self. My parents go 'What was wrong Nichole?!' and I told them I stayed up all night playing video games. They thought something was wrong- they couldn't get me to stay awake........ no. He's way too young. You don't want that to continue either
