Every child is different, some will react good others will be jealous, just try too fit in alone time with your toddler,or take him out and do a activity that is just you and him. Let him be a "helper" keep him busy helping you and praising him when he does if he is feeling apart of the new addtion, instead of replaced it should be Ok,its new to everyone, you will figure it out when you get a new routine going!!!

My first two kids are 21 months apart and there wasn't much jealousy. It depends on the child. My first child was a great helper and he was fairly independent when it came to watching tv and playing.

My kids are 14 months apart. I made sure to tell everyone to great my daughter before running to see the new baby.

I bought a whole lot of little toys like bubble blow ect, so if someone bought a gift for our new son they had something for my daughter to.

And we took our daughter to buy a welcome toy for her new brother and got one from him for her.

I use to let my daughter pick out the cloths for her brother, and get her involved, we would read story's when i breast fed ect.

It worked out well never had any jealousy issues, and Today aged 5 and almost 4 they are best friends.

Good luck
