my daughter is almost 13 months and I have been considering having another baby. I am just worried that my daughter wont do well. She is very attached to me and my husband, and is the center of EVERYONES attention. Hopefully I can get some advice!

My son and daughter are 22 months apart (we conceived her when he was 14 months old). I LOVE how close they are. He didn't have much trouble adjusting to having a sibling at all. He basically just sat and watched her quietly for the first week or two, with a curious look on his face. Eventually he wanted to "help" by passing me blankets, diapers, etc. They're 3 1/2 and 18m now and are great friends. She follows her brother around, and he likes playing with her. They always hug and kiss each other. It's great. It's tiring in the beginning have 2 under 2 but I think having a newborn is tiring regardless.

Honestly, you won't know if she will be ready until she actually has a sibling. Either way she will get use to the idea. It is what you and your boyfriend or husband are most comfortable with. She will adjust. My first two kids are 21 months apart and there were no issues at all.

No, wait at least till she is 2yrs old before you become pregnant. She is still your "baby" and needs all your undivided attention and love. Do not rob her of that. I had my first two children 20mths apart and was later very sorry about it.

The reason why I did it was my three younger siblings differ all by 2years and where playmates. I was the eldest by many years and had no connection with them, being away at boarding school.

Good Luck with your decision
