Kids reading books upside down

I read most people say don't worry if your child reads or look at pictures upside down while they were young. How young is young? Our grandson who we have custody of, is 3 1/2 now. He has been doing this since he was able to sit up. Every time we turned the book (or picture) right side up, he looses interest. Still does it to this day. Hoping he'd change when 2017 comes around. the time for him to start Kindergarten.

Any body else this happens to? Thanks!

I'd let him keep doing it when he is looking at books by himself. When you read to him, have him snuggle in to look at the book while you hold it right side up. Start with books that have just a sentence or two and have him turn the page. If he tries to take the book from you, you can ask him questions to try to keep him engaged; show me the cow, is there a red flower or other things he can point out. Maybe by modeling for him, he will pick up on it.
